Rain, rain go away!

Well that's it, it's official I've officially called time on life as a working man, I won't lie it feels good!

I won't bore you with the details of the proceedings that went along with it, but all the guys and gals in the office were sorry to see me go, which is quite touching. I know I won't be getting bored any time soon, there's far too much to be getting on with around here.

Of course my first weekend as a free man hasn't exactly been one brimming with opportunity (somewhat ironic I think!) because of this blasted rain! It's mid July for goodness sake, my grandson has only just broken up for the summer holidays.

Still it's not all bad, the garden will be getting a decent watering during all this, hopefully that will put some life back into the sun scorched lawn... it really is one extreme to the other with the weather these days. Hopefully I'll have more to report on that front next time once everything has had time to benefit from this extensive watering.
